Chelsea have officially confirmed they have agreed terms with Paris Saint-Germain to re-sign defender David Luiz.

The Blues have been searching high and low for another centre-back this summer and have failed with a number of bids for targets.

And the Blues have as a result turned to Luiz, a player they sold to PSG for £50m just two years ago.

Luiz headed to London for a medical with Chelsea and to thrash out personal terms earlier today – and now Chelsea have confirmed that a deal is agreed with PSG.

Chelsea say the transfer will be dependent upon Luiz signing off on a contract and passing a medical.

Chelsea first snapped Luiz up from Portuguese giants Benfica in 2011 and he spent three years at Stamford Bridge before being sold to PSG in a big-money move.
