Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has admitted he would be delighted if his side can push a loan deal for Jack Wilshere over the line.

Arsenal are willing to allow Wilshere to exit on a season-long loan deal as they look to secure him the minutes to aid his development.

Palace want Wilshere, but they are not the only club in the mix as Bournemouth and Roma are also chasing the England international.

Roma have pushed themselves into pole position by reaching an agreement with Wilshere's representatives, but it remains to be seen whether the Giallorossi can strike a deal with Arsenal.

Pardew would like to see Wilshere at Selhurst Park and admits he would be the perfect way for the Eagles to sign off on their summer transfer window work.

"If we could get him it would be the icing on the cake if we were to get it across the line.

Wilshere is not yet thought to have made a decision on where he will move to today and the clock is ticking.
