Leeds United are not showing any inclination to re-obtain the signature of United States Under-23 international and Chesterfield winger Gboly Ariyibi, it has been claimed.

The Yorkshire giants released the then teenage winger in the summer of 2014, and he was quickly snapped up by English third tier club Chesterfield.

He was a regular for Chesterfield last season in League One, and has also started the season as a key player, with six appearances already under his belt in the first month of the campaign.

There has been speculation that Leeds are considering bringing him back to the club in the final days of the transfer window, but according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, there is no evidence they are.

It has been suggested Leeds are not entertaining any ideas of re-signing Ariyibi and are concentrating on other viable targets to bring before today's transfer deadline.
