Liverpool are still waiting for mercurial Italian striker Mario Balotelli to complete his move to Nice, according to the BBC.

The Reds have been looking to offload the 26-year-old striker all summer, and it seems on transfer deadline day the forward is finally on his way out of the club.

A number of Italian clubs were in talks to sign the forward, but Balotelli is expected to join Ligue 1 outfit Nice, after the club offered a better financial deal to the player.

Balotelli arrived in France earlier today to undergo a medical with Nice, but the club were still engaged in talks Liverpool to finalise an agreement to sign the Italian international.

And with just a few hours left in the window, the Reds are still waiting for Balotelli to finalise his move to the French club before the window slams shut tonight.
