Mamadou Sakho is leaning towards staying at Liverpool, despite interest from a number of clubs in the Premier League and in Europe.

The French defender was asked to leave Liverpool’s pre-season party in the United States by Jurgen Klopp earlier in the summer due to disciplinary issues.

And there has been speculation that the defender could find himself out of the gates at Anfield, with Liverpool believed to be keen to see his back during the summer transfer window.

However, according to French news outlet Foot Mercato, the defender is tilting towards staying at Liverpool despite interest from clubs such as West Brom, Crystal Palace and Stoke City in the Premier League.

The Frenchman also has suitors in Europe, with Porto and Besiktas keeping a close watch on proceedings during transfer deadline day.
