Moussa Sissoko has passed a medical with Tottenham Hotspur.

The France international is heading to White Hart Lane after Spurs saw off interest from Everton after matching the Toffees' £30m bid for the Newcastle United midfielder.

And Spurs are pressing the accelerator to get the deal over the line as quickly as possible.

Now, according to Newcastle daily the Chronicle, Sissoko has been put through his medical paces by Spurs and has passed his medical.

The midfielder is thought to have already thrashed out personal terms with Tottenham, meaning the deal is now all but done.

Everton meanwhile have withdrawn their interest in Sissoko and are no longer chasing the France international midfielder.

The Toffees did think that they had won the race for Sissoko, who was expected on Merseyside for a medical.

A move to Tottenham will mean Champions League football for Sissoko this season – and at Wembley too.
