Newcastle United are ready to accept staged payments for Tottenham Hotspur target Moussa Sissoko, but won’t lower their asking price of £30m.

The Frenchman has been given permission by France coach Didier Deschamps to leave the national team camp in order to sort out his future on transfer deadline day.

Tottenham have been chasing the midfielder’s signature for the last few days, and have already seen their £20m offer rejected by Newcastle United in recent hours.

Spurs are expected to put in fresh bid soon, but it is unlikely to meet Newcastle’s asking price and the Magpies are adamant that they won’t accept anything less than £30m for Sissoko.

According to the Chronicle, the north east club are ready to accept a fee for Sissoko in installments, but have made it clear that price for the midfielder will remain £30m.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, known for his penny pinching and tough negotiating tactics, is expected to put in further bids, but it remains to be seen whether he agrees to pay the asking price for Sissoko.

Sissoko has been pushing for an exit from St. James’ Park this summer, but with the hours running out, there is a real chance that the Frenchman could stay at Newcastle until at least January.
