Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen have completed the signing of Serge Gnabry from Arsenal on four-year contract in a deal worth €5m.

The youngster, who won the Olympic silver medal with his Germany team earlier month, completed a medical with the club earlier today and was unveiled to the media soon after.




The 21-year-old joined the London-based outfit from VfB Stuttgart as a youngster back in 2011 and was promoted to the senior team the following year.

Chances for the first-team has been hard to come by though with the player having managed a total of 18 appearances for Arsene Wenger's side scoring a single goal and providing his team-mates with two assists.
 


The move therefore suits the young German international well as it will give him the chance to play more regularly at the top level.

Expressing his delight with the move the youngster said at his unveiling: "I'm very happy to be here."

Gnabry also took time to reveal that he did have interactions with two former Werder Bremen players – Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker – who said only positive things about the club.

"Per Mertesacker and Mesut Ozil have only said positive things about the club.

"I had very good talks with the management and that has led me here."
