Moussa Sissoko has been given permission to leave France's training camp in order to finalise a transfer.

The Newcastle United midfielder has been the subject of a bid from Tottenham Hotspur, but the offer was rejected by the Magpies as it came nowhere near their £35m valuation.

Sissoko has been desperate to quit Newcastle following their relegation from the Premier League, but time is running out for him to seal a move away from St. James' Park.

However, in a signal a move is very much on the table, France coach Didier Deschamps has given Sissoko permission to leave the country's training camp.

The France Football Federation claim that the permission has been granted in order to allow Sissoko to finalise a transfer.

It remains to be seen whether Sissoko has any other options than Tottenham on deadline day.

The midfielder further enhanced his reputation due to his fine performances at Euro 2016 earlier this summer for France.
