Bundesliga side FC Ingolstadt have completed the signing of Arsenal and Watford linked Marcel Tisserand from Monaco.

The Congolese defender has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with Ingolstadt, which will keep him at the Bundesliga club until 2020.

Tisserand progressed through Monaco’s youth system before making his first team debut for the Ligue 1 outfit in the 2013/14 campaign.

However, the 23-year-old struggled for regular playing time at the Stade Louis II and was sent out on loan deals to Lens and Toulouse.

Tisserand impressed during his loan spell at Toulouse and aroused the interest of several clubs such as Arsenal, Watford, Udinese, Espanyol and Saint-Etienne.

But it is FC Ingolstadt who have eventually managed to secure the signature of the centre-back, who can also operate as a full-back.

Tisserand, who has represented Congo at Under-20 level, has thus far earned one senior cap for the African nation when he featured in a friendly against Romania in May.
