Christian Benteke’s younger brother Jonathan will join Crystal Palace, according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws.

Jonathan is a free agent after being released by Zulte Waregem at the end of last season and can hence be signed by the Eagles after the closure of the summer transfer window last night.

The 21-year-old will join his brother at Selhurst Park, with Crystal Palace snapping up Christian on a four-year deal from Liverpool earlier in the summer.

Jonathan is also a striker and managed three goals in 25 appearances in all competitions for Zulte Waregem after joining the club from Vise in 2014.

The youngster, who is a product of Standard Liege’s youth system, failed to find the back of the net in 17 games for the Belgian outfit in the 2015/16 campaign.
