Bundesliga side Wolfsburg intend to try again for Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-Min Son when the transfer window reopens in the new year.

The Wolves worked overtime to try to put a deal in place with Spurs to sign the South Korea international and even had personal terms done and dusted with Son.

But despite Wolfsburg's best efforts, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino refused to allow Son to leave, meaning the former Bayer Leverkusen man is still at White Hart Lane.

Wolfsburg though are happy to wait.

According to German daily the Wolfsburger Allgemeine, the Bundesliga side have resolved to go back in for Son in the winter window.

They remain determined to bring the forward back to Germany and are hopeful that when the winter window opens they will be able to get their man.

Son has fierce opposition for a starting spot at Spurs and it remains to be seen how much game time he is able to enjoy with the Premier League club.

Wolfsburg are also confident that if Spurs agree to deal, Son would relish the move to the Volkswagen Arena.
