Leeds United youngster Billy Whitehouse was impressed with Adam Lallana's performance for England against Slovakia on Sunday evening.

Lallana was England's standout player in the 2018 World Cup qualifier in Trnvana, but the Three Lions still had to work hard for the win, even following Martin Skrtel's sending off in the 57th minute.

It was Lallana who bagged the decisive goal, striking in the fifth minute of injury time to secure a 1-0 win for England in what was manager Sam Allardyce's first game in charge.

Whitehouse, who joined Leeds earlier this summer from Doncaster Rovers, was impressed.

The midfielder, who was deployed as a right-back in Leeds Under-23s' last fixture, took to Twitter to write: "Lallana so good [monkey covering eyes emoji]."

Liverpool man Lallana also hit the post in the qualifier against Slovakia and his eventual goal was his first for his country.

England are not now again in action until October, where they have a World Cup qualifying double header, with games against Malta at home and Slovenia away.
