Liverpool will send scouts to watch Mahmoud Dahoud in action for the Germany Under-21s against Finland tonight, with the Reds thinking about preparing a bumper deal to sign the youngster in January.

The Borussia Monchengladbach star was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool during the summer transfer window, with the Merseyside giants even putting forward a €30m bid for the 20-year-old which the Bundesliga club swiftly knocked back.




Although Dahoud stayed put at Monchengladbach, he is refusing to extend his contract with the German outfit; his present deal expires in 2018.

The starlet is yet to play a full game in the present campaign as Liverpool’s interest reportedly turned his head.
 


And according to German daily Express, Liverpool may renew their interest in Dahoud in January, with the Premier League giants set to send scouts to watch the midfielder in action in an Under-21 European Championship qualifier against Finland tonight.

Dahoud, who is also on the radar of Paris Saint-Germain, has thus far made 46 appearances in all competitions for Monchengladbach, scoring five times and providing nine assists.

Gladbach may have a tough time keeping hold of him in the January transfer window.
