Manchester United starlet Timothy Fosu-Mensah believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s quest for perfection is a glowing example for any young player to learn from.

The veteran striker joined Manchester United this summer on a free transfer, and has made an instant impact with five goals from as many games in his opening few months at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho has also stressed the importance of having the 34-year-old around the young players in the squad, and it seems Ibrahimovic is already making a big impression on the youngsters.

Fosu-Mensah, 18, admits that the talismanic Swede is a huge presence inside the dressing room, and his quest for perfection on the training pitch or during games is a wonderful example for youngsters to follow.

On Ibrahimovic’s influence, the Dutchman told the Algemeen Dagblad: “He always wants to do everything perfectly, every time, every training session, and every minute.

“As a young player one should look at Zlatan, and keep everything good about him in their mind.

“Just look at his trophy cabinet.”

It remains to be seen whether Mourinho decides to rest the veteran Swede for Thursday’s Europa League trip to Feyenoord, and give squad players such as Fosu-Mensah their first opportunity this season.
