Manchester United starlet Timothy Fosu-Mensah is excited at the prospect of playing in a big stadium in the Netherlands for the first time in his career this week.

Despite selling and loaning out a number of Manchester United youngsters this summer, the young Dutchman is one of the players Jose Mourinho decided to include in his squad this season.

While yet to play this season, the young Dutchman is expected to play some part, if not start, against Feyenoord in Manchester United’s opening Europa League fixture on Thursday night.

Snapped up from the Ajax academy by the Red Devils in 2014, the young defensive midfielder is eagerly looking forward to playing at a big stadium such as De Kuip later this week in Rotterdam.

Fosu-Mensah told the Algemeen Dagblad: “I have never of course played in the Eredivisie, which means never in a big Dutch stadium.

“When that happens, hopefully on Thursday, it is going to very special, especially since I will be playing against my buddies Tonny Vilhena and Terence Kongolo.”

After starring for the Manchester United Under-18s and the Under-21s, the youngster made his senior debut last season, and has made 12 appearances for the Red Devils.

He also recently broke into the Netherlands Under-21s squad.
