Liverpool's official Twitter account has mocked rivals Manchester United following their 3-1 loss away at Watford, which made it three defeats in a row for Jose Mourinho's team.

Manchester United were lacklustre at Vicarage Road and trooped off the pitch with further questions being asked about the system Mourinho is employing, while world-record signing Paul Pogba was again ineffective.

Following Liverpool's 2-1 win away at Chelsea on Friday night, a Manchester United fan channel wrote on Twitter: "Big thanks to Liverpool for beating one of our title rivals. Another three points towards your battle for sixth."

And after Manchester United's collapse at Watford, Liverpool's official account simply replied: "Delete."

Liverpool are in good form under boss Jurgen Klopp and have already beaten Arsenal (away), Chelsea (away) and Premier League champions Leicester City (home).
