Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Dele Alli has signed a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2022.

The 20-year-old, who was snapped up by Spurs from MK Dons in January 2015, headed back to the Dons on a loan deal for the remainder of the season as part of the deal.

Alli then returned to Tottenham at the start of the 2015/16 campaign and enjoyed a splendid first season at White Hart Lane.

The young midfielder scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists in 46 appearances in all competitions last term as the north London outfit finished third in the Premier League and qualified for the Champions League for the first time since the 2010/11 campaign.

Alli’s impressive performances helped him to win the PFA Young Player of the Year award, and he was named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.
