Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-Min Son feels his side should have won by a larger margin, following Spurs’ 1-0 victory over Sunderland in the Premier League on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team started the game aggressively and had ten shots on target in the opening 20 minutes, but Sunderland somehow managed to keep the hosts at bay.

Tottenham finally broke the deadlock after the break in the 59th minute through Harry Kane, whose effort turned out to be the winner at White Hart Lane.

And Son, who praised Spurs’ energetic and exciting display against the Black Cats, however, urged his side to be more clinical in front of goal.

“Everyone wanted to run, everyone wanted to fight for every ball”, the South Korean told Spurs TV.

"We had chances to score more goals, we are playing at home against Sunderland.

“We should have won 2-0 or 3-0 or more.

"We were exciting and we are happy to get the three points, but we have to get better and score more goals.”

Spurs, who lost their opening Champions League game 2-1 to Monaco last week, are yet to lose a game in the Premier League this season.

Tottenham presently find themselves third in the standings with 11 points from five games, just four adrift of leaders Manchester City.
