Manchester City have announced their team to play Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium in a third round EFL Cup tie this evening.
Pep Guardiola's side have made a stunning start to the new season and will be bidding to continue their form in the EFL Cup, a competition which could hand the Spaniard his first piece of silverware as Citizens boss.
Manchester City are also the holders after beating Liverpool in the final last season and in an effort to see off the Swans, Guardiola selects Leroy Sane, handing the German a chance to impress. Jesus Navas is an experienced attacking head, while Fernando looks to protect the back four. Vincent Kompany and John Stones form the central defensive pair, ahead of goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
Kevin De Bruyne is on the bench for Guardiola to call for if needed, while Fernandinho and Bacary Sagna are the other experienced options amongst the substitutes.
