Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stressed the importance of maintaining his team discipline against Chelsea on Saturday.

The Gunners have not had the best of records against the Blues in recent years, and the west Londoners have often done a job on their London rivals despite sometimes not playing at their best.

In one of their worst campaigns of their modern history, Chelsea still did a league double over Arsenal last season, and the Gunners struggled to maintain their composure with players being sent off in both encounters.

Ahead of Chelsea’s visit to the Emirates, Wenger admits that other than playing well, his players will also have to make sure that they keep their discipline on the pitch against Antonio Conte’s men.

He said in a press conference: “In the last two games we played with ten men.

“So for the result tomorrow it’s important the way we play football, but also the way we behave.”

Conte, who is looking for his team to get over their defeat to Liverpool last week, will hope to continue Chelsea’s recent dominance over Arsenal in north London.
