Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has sarcastically remarked that he is one of only two managers to win back-to-back Premier League titles, while talking about the difficulties Leicester City will face this season.

In his first stint as Chelsea manager, Mourinho won back-to-back Premier League titles between 2004 and 2006, and other than former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, he remains the only other manager to do so.

While talking about the challenge in front of champions Leicester this season, the Portuguese said that despite recent criticism, he remains in elite company when it comes to retaining the Premier League title.

"History says that not many teams in Premier League history did that", he said in a press conference.

"One was Man United, another one was some team managed by the worst manager in the history of football.”

The Manchester United boss stressed that Leicester remain a very good team this season, and while his players know what to expect from the Foxes, they remain a difficult team to play against.

"They won the league because they were very good and they are still very good.

"I think they are a very easy team to analyse because their defensive process and attacking organisation are clear, but it is very difficult to cope with it.

"Easy to understand but difficult to play against."

Claudio Ranieri pushed Mourinho towards the Chelsea exit door last season when his side beat the Blues at the King Power Stadium in December.
