Leeds United legend Eddie Gray admits that the Whites will find it hard to beat a resilient Ipswich Town today, but has urged the players to take the game to Mick McCarthy’s men.

After a slow start to the season, Garry Monk’s men have gone on a three-game winning streak, and are high on confidence ahead of Ipswich’s visit to Elland Road.

McCarthy’s side have lost just once in the last six games, but three of them were draws, making them one of the harder sides to beat in Championship, and Gray is not expecting an easy ride for Leeds.

The Leeds legend is expecting a tough game at Elland Road, but with the Whites on a good run, he feels it is imperative the home side take the game to Ipswich and try to get all three points.

The Leeds legend told LUTV: “They are resilient, they make it difficult for teams.

“They will get behind the ball, and Mick McCarthy is the type of manager, if you don’t work hard, you won’t be on the field, you will be on the bench.

“So it will be a difficult game, but we have won a couple of games so we are going into it with confidence, we have got to take the game at them.

“Once you go on a run, it’s a great feeling and hopefully they take on the Ipswich game and even further and beyond that.”

Ipswich are currently eleventh in the league table on 12 points, two points of Leeds who are sitting 15th in the Championship.
