Former Manchester City full-back Danny Mills believes that Liverpool's defence is too weak for the Reds to win the Premier League title this season.

Jurgen Klopp's men have been in awesome attacking form this season, putting four goals past Arsenal, four goals past champions Leicester City and on Saturday, five against Hull City in a 5-1 win.

Liverpool have now taken 13 points from their opening six league games and sit in fourth spot in the table.

Mills is impressed with Liverpool going forward, but he believes they are weak at the back and against capable sides will come unstuck, which for the former defender is why the Reds will fall short of winning the title.

"Liverpool are entertaining going forward but defensively are a bit suspect", Mills said on the BBC's Final Score programme.

"Against the bigger teams they might be found out, which is for me why they won't win the title this season."

Mills does though feel Liverpool are great to watch as Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has his team playing with high intensity, which makes for exciting football.

"Liverpool are so exciting. They are fast and sharp with intricate passing."

Klopp's men are next in action next weekend when they travel to south Wales to take on Swansea City.

Then after the international break, Liverpool welcome fierce rivals Manchester United to Anfield for a Monday evening fixture.
