Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that one of the best players in training in recent week is none other than Alberto Moreno.

The Spanish left-back was savaged for his performances last season and at the start of the current campaign, something which saw him dropped and replaced by a midfielder in the shape of James Milner.

Milner, despite playing out of position, has continued to hold down the left-back spot, with Moreno having to be content with operating as backup.

But Klopp is thrilled with the way the former Sevilla man has responded to the situation and revealed he has been turning on the style in training in recent weeks.

"To be honest, one of the best players in the last few weeks in training is Alberto Moreno", Klopp told a press conference, following Liverpool's 5-1 drubbing of Hull City.

"He took the situation brilliantly and is in a really good moment."

Moreno was given a 90 minutes run-out in Liverpool's recent 3-0 EFL Cup win away at Derby County, but with Milner pleasing Klopp, it remains to be seen when the Spaniard will receive another opportunity to start a Premier League match.

Liverpool's final fixture before the international break next month comes on Monday 1st October, when they take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
