Kalvin Phillips has revealed that Leeds United were disappointed they did not put three or four goals past Ipswich Town on Saturday at Elland Road.

The Whites had a first half goal from in-form striker Chris Wood to thanks for taking all three points from the Championship fixture, something which extended their winning run to four games.

Phillips says that Leeds were pleased to take three points from the game against Ipswich, but were left with the feeling after the match that they could have inflicted a heavier defeat on Mick McCarthy's men.

He told LUTV: "We want to keep this run going and hopefully climb up the table like we've been planning to do.

"In the changing room at full-time we were a bit disappointed that we didn't win three or four nil", Phillips continued.

"But three points are three points and we're happy to take it."

Phillips also explained that he felt Leeds' poor run earlier this season was not reflective of the side.

The Whites lost four of their opening six Championship matches to sit inside the relegation zone and put head coach Garry Monk's job at risk.

Next up for an in-form Leeds side is a trip to Ashton Gate on Tuesday night to lock horns with Bristol City.
