Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson is a great character to have in the dressing room at Elland Road, midfielder Kalvin Phillips has revealed.

Jansson has enjoyed a big impact at Leeds since he joined from Italian side Torino on loan; the deal will be transformed into a permanent transfer if the centre-back plays in 20 or more games for the club.

The Swede has helped Leeds become solid defensively from set pieces, while he has also become an influential presence on the pitch, driving his team-mates to perform.

And Phillips is pleased with the impact Jansson has had, both on the pitch and in the dressing room.

"He's a great player. He's a big guy as well, a big presence, offensive and defensive", the midfielder told LUTV.

"So he's a good character to have in the changing room", Phillips added.

Leeds' weekend win over Ipswich Town at Elland Road means that it is now four victories on the bounce for Garry Monk's men.

They will be looking to continue their good run on Tuesday night when they head to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol City.

The Robins won 4-0 at Fulham at the weekend.
