Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino feels Heung-Min Son is in a rich vein of form after he fired Spurs to a 1-0 win in Russia over CSKA Moscow.

Son struck in the 72nd minute of the Champions League clash to hand Spurs their first win of the group stage and help Pochettino's men bounce back from an opening matchday loss to Monaco.

The South Korea international struck twice in Spurs' 2-1 win away at Middlesbrough at the weekend and continued his good form, leaving Pochettino saying his charge is now "on fire".

The Tottenham boss told Spurs TV: "Son is on fire!

"I am very pleased with him and his goals help the team a lot", the Spurs boss added.

And in general, Pochettino was delighted with his side taking all three points from their tricky trip to Russia.

"The game was tough, but we deserved it. We are in the race for the next round.

"I am delighted. First of all I want to thank the fans who travelled here. The performance was good", the Argentine added.

Spurs will now switch their attention back to the Premier League where Manchester City are the visitors to White hart Lane on Sunday.

Goalscorer Son meanwhile has been threatened with being dropped from the South Korea squad by the country's coach, due to his reaction when substituted.
