Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon is not keen to think about going through the entire Scottish Premiership campaign unbeaten this early in the season.

Brendan Rodgers’ men have made a blistering start to the campaign, and are yet to lose a game in the Scottish Premiership this season, collecting 16 points from their opening six games.

Celtic have again looked dominant at the top of the league, and are showing no signs of loosening their grip on the league title despite talk of a more competitive Premiership.

There is already talk this early in the season that Celtic could look to go an entire domestic campaign unbeaten, but Gordon believes that is undue pressure on the squad at the moment.

The Celtic goalkeeper has stressed that the lion’s share of the season is still to be played, and there is no point in suggesting at the moment that Celtic could go an entire Premiership campaign unbeaten.

When asked whether Celtic can go an entire season unbeaten, Gordon told Celtic TV: “That’s a big ask, it’s very early [in the season].

“We will win as many games as we can, and it’s a long season so it’s going to be difficult to do that.

“It’s an awful amount of games and we don’t want to put any undue pressure on ourselves, but we are going to do our best we can.”

Celtic’s next domestic game is a trip to Dundee next Saturday for a Scottish Premiership game.
