Former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier feels the Reds possess the qualities required to win the Premier League title under Jurgen Klopp.

The Merseyside giants, who have already beaten Arsenal, Chelsea and champions Leicester City in the present campaign, currently find themselves fourth in the standings with 13 points from six games, five adrift of leaders Manchester City.

Liverpool have thus far scored 16 goals in the Premier League, the second highest in the division behind the Citizens.

And Houllier, who has been impressed with Liverpool’s entertaining and efficient performances this season, believes his former employers will get better under Klopp and thinks they are “good enough” to win the Premier League title.

“They are entertaining and also extremely efficient”, he told reporters at Soccerex on Monday.

Liverpool, whose only defeat of the season came in the form of a 2-0 loss at Burnley last month, will next play Swansea City in an away Premier League fixture on Saturday.

Klopp’s team will head into the Swansea game on the back of a four-match winning streak in all competitions.
