Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-Min Son feels he is going through a lucky spell after he fired his side to a 1-0 Champions League win over CSKA Moscow in Russia.

Spurs started well in Russia and quickly started to dominate possession, dictating the pace of the game. CSKA Moscow were by no means out of it though and in the 30th minute went close through Zoran Tosic, but his effort was off target.

The visitors pushed and hit the bar soon afterwards through Dele Alli, who lashed in a 20-yard strike which almost gave Spurs the lead.

Alli again went close before half time, but could not get his header on target following a cross from Christian Eriksen.

Spurs kept pushing, with Son going close before he did give the visitors the lead in the 72nd minute, Erik Lamela feeding the South Korean, who then shot and saw his effort trickle past goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev.

The Premier League side then held on to their lead and claimed a 1-0 win and three vital group stage points.

Son was delighted to fire his side to all three points, especially as he feels the trip to Russia was tough.

"It is a difficult game away. We played Saturday and travelled Monday. We worked hard over the 90 minutes. I am very grateful to my team-mates", Son told BT Sport after the match.

On a personal level, the South Korean is on a hot streak and is delighted it is continuing.

"This is a good time but also a lucky time. I try every game to score.

"We are very happy to win this game.

"Everyone is happy to get three points. We have to work hard. It is so important", Son added.
