Liverpool new boy Marko Grujic has explained that he will try to showcase his talents in training in order to accumulate more Premier League minutes.

The 20-year-old, who was signed by Liverpool from Red Star Belgrade in January, was loaned out to the Serbian team for the remained of the season before returning to the Reds at the start of the 2016/17 campaign.

Grujic made his Anfield debut at the weekend when he came on as a late substitute in the 5-1 win over Hull City; his only other Premier League appearance also came as a late substitute, in the 2-0 loss to Burnley last month.

And Grujic, who has thus far clocked up 29 minutes of action over two Premier League games, is aware that he needs to remain patient for his chances as his fellow midfielders have been in good form in recent weeks.

However, the Serbian international insisted that he will work hard in training to improve his chances of featuring more prominently in the Premier League.

“All of the players in my position, and other positions, are playing very well”, Grujic told LFC TV.

“We have had good results to start the season. We had some hard matches away. We will be better from week to week – that’s the most important thing.

“I will try to show my skills in training to get more minutes in the Premier League.”

Grujic played the full 90 minutes in the Reds’ 3-0 win over Derby County in an EFL Cup game earlier in the month.
