Mauricio Pochettino believes Tottenham Hotspur have what it takes to compete in the Champions League, ahead of their meeting with CSKA Moscow on Tuesday night.

Spurs, who have returned to the Champions League for the first time since the 2010/11 campaign, lost their opening group stage game 2-1 to Monaco earlier in the month.

However, Tottenham have been in tremendous form on the domestic front, with the north London outfit yet to lose a game in the Premier League, in addition to reaching the fourth round of the EFL Cup, where they will face Liverpool in October.

And Pochettino, whose side are yet to start their FA Cup adventure, insisted that Spurs are ready to compete and challenge for silverware in all of the four tournaments they are involved in.

“Yes, we believe that we are ready to compete in all competitions”, he said in his pre-match press conference on Monday.

“Always we try to do our best and believe in all the players in the squad because in the end we are involved in four competitions and it’s important to use all the players and all the players are ready to compete.

“We will try to compete in every competition and try to win something.”

Tottenham, who edged out Middlesbrough 2-1 in the Premier League at the weekend, currently find themselves second in the standings with 14 points from six games, four behind Manchester City.
