Hoffenheim’s Niklas Sule is a wanted man, with several European heavyweights including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid sending scouts to watch the defender in action against Schalke last weekend.

Sule, who joined Hoffenheim’s academy from Darmstadt in 2010, made his senior competitive debut for the club in May 2013.

The 21-year-old has since raked up 87 appearances for Hoffenheim, even scoring six times and providing an assist.

Sule, who is a vital player for the Wirsol Rhein-Neckar-Arena outfit, is contracted with the Bundesliga outfit until 2019.

However, the Germany international’s days at Hoffenheim may be numbered, with several clubs interested in snapping up the youngster next summer.

According to German daily Bild, Arsenal, Spurs, Atletico Madrid, Everton, Valencia and Inter Milan sent scouts to Germany to watch Sule in action closely in the league game against Schalke, which Hoffenheim won 2-1.

Chelsea, who are claimed to have had a bid in the region of €30m turned down by Hoffenheim for the centre-back during the closing stages of the summer transfer window, are also in the hunt for the starlet along with Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.

Sule has a senior cap for Germany to his name which he earned in the 2-0 win over Finland in a friendly in late August.
