Charlie Taylor has insisted that he is currently fully focused on Leeds United, with the transfer window not to open again until January.

The left-back, whose present contract with Leeds is set to expire on 30th June 2017, was heavily linked with a move away from Elland Road in the summer, with West Brom most interested in scooping up the defender.

Taylor even put forward a transfer request, which the Yorkshire giants were quick to turn down.

The 23-year-old’s former Leeds team-mate Lewis Cook also found himself in a similar contractual situation, with the midfielder ultimately joining Bournemouth on a four-year deal in July.

However, Taylor stayed put at Leeds and has featured in every game for Garry Monk’s team in the present campaign.

And the former England Under-19 international explained that with the transfer window now shut, his “head is in the right place” at the moment.

“Obviously now that the transfer window is shut up until January, it’s easier for me”, he said on BBC Radio Leeds.

“My head’s in the right place and things are clearer now.”

Taylor, who is a product of Leeds’ youth system, made his first team debut for the club in 2011, aged 17.
