Rangers manager Mark Warburton says that midfielder Josh Windass will be available to be picked on Saturday against Partick Thistle at Ibrox.

The Gers are looking to return to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership after going on a run of two draws and two defeats which has pushed the side into the bottom half of the table.

Windass picked up an injury in his side's warm-up before a recent Scottish League Cup win over Queen of the South and was missing last weekend in Rangers' defeat at Aberdeen.

But Warburton has confirmed the energetic midfielder is back in contention.

He said at a press conference this afternoon: "Windass is training tomorrow and available for selection.

"[Jordan] Rossiter will be missing. He is on the running machine and is hopefully a week to ten days away", Warburton added, providing an update on another midfielder who has been struggling with injury.

It remains to be seen whether Warburton will bring Windass straight back into the side, but he admitted he is expecting the emphasis to be on his team breaking down Partick Thistle on Saturday.

"We expect an organised team to come to Ibrox.

"We know they will be diligent and tough to break down.

"We need to find that way through", the Rangers boss added.
