Barrie McKay admits that he is keen to pick up and learn things from the experienced players Rangers have signed this summer.

Mark Warburton was busy during the summer transfer window, and signed experienced campaigners such as Joey Barton, Niko Kranjcar, Philippe Senderos and Clint Hill to add more nous to his squad.

McKay, 21, admits that it is great to have players of such experience in the squad, and the youngster is keen to take in as much as possible from the old heads in the Rangers team.

The winger also added that the players themselves have been keen to share their experience of playing football all across the world with the youngsters in Warburton’s squad.

McKay told Rangers TV: “A lot of them have been around the world and they have seen different things in football.

“They are obviously a lot older than me as well so they have been sharing their experience and it’s up to me to learn and take in what they are saying.”

Rangers have been struggling in the Scottish Premiership this month, and no wins in four means they have dropped down to the bottom half of the league table.

Warburton will be keen to see the old heads in his squad step up the plate, and steer Rangers out of their current rut.
