Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not sure whether he will ever have another coaching job in German football, though he is planning to return to his homeland when he has retired.

The German tactician started his managerial career at Mainz before then moving on to enjoy huge success with Borussia Dortmund, picking up two Bundesliga titles and leading the Ruhr giants to a Champions League final.

He took over at Liverpool in October last year in what is his first foray into management outside his homeland.

And Klopp, who is keen to live in Germany when he retires, is not yet sure whether he will ever manage in his homeland again.

"I certainly will [go home] to live, but I don't know if I will be back there as a coach yet", Klopp explained to RedaktionsNetwerk.

"The day will come when I say, 'thanks, it was a pleasure'.

"It's very, very unlikely that I will still be sitting on the bench when I am 60", the 49-year-old continued.

"And, if at the end of my career I only got to coach Mainz, Dortmund and Liverpool, then it will certainly have been three fantastic clubs."

Klopp led Liverpool to the final of both the Europa League and the League Cup last season, but the Reds came up short in each.

Currently Liverpool sit in fourth spot in the Premier League standings after taking 13 points from their opening six league matches.
