West Ham goalkeeper Adrian feels the Hammers showed great character to earn a point against Middlesbrough at the London Stadium after a 1-1 draw.

Slaven Bilic’s side were under pressure going into the home game, and after Middlesbrough took the lead in the second half it seemed West Ham were heading towards their fifth straight defeat in the Premier League.

However, a wonder goal by Dimitri Payet helped West Ham get a draw, and while they rarely threatened to get anything more from the game, the point was important to get them out of their rut.

Adrian feels West Ham showed character, determination and team spirit to snatch a point from the game, and wants his side to build on the draw and fight harder after the international break.

The goalkeeper told the BBC: "We showed team spirit, character and helped each other.
