Former England and West Ham United winger Trevor Sinclair feels Shkodran Mustafi is worth every single penny that Arsenal paid for him, following the defender’s impressive display in the 1-0 win over Burnley on Sunday.

The Germany international, who joined Arsenal from Valencia for around £35m in the summer, has been in stupendous form for the Gunners.

Mustafi has thus far made six appearances in all competitions for Arsenal, with the north London club conceding a total of just three goals in those games, in addition to keeping three clean sheets.

And Sinclair is of the opinion that Arsenal splashing the cash on the 24-year-old was money well spent by the Emirates Stadium outfit.

"Shkodran Mustafi is worth every single penny of the £30m-odd that Arsenal paid for him”, he said during the course of the game on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra.
