Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe admits that David Luiz joining Chelsea in the summer transfer window left him without a source of support, however he feels the defender's exit has opened the door for him to enjoy more first team football at the Parc des Princes.

Luiz was in front of Kimpembe in the pecking order with the French champions, however the Brazilian opted to move to Chelsea on deadline day in a shock switch.

Kimpembe, 21, admits that Luiz leaving the French champions was something which left him hurt as he received much advice and support from the Brazilian. But the France Under-21 international is now ready to make the most of the opportunity that Luiz departing has provided him with.

He told Onze Mondial: "His departure hurts me because David is someone who helped me at the club.

"We can say it like that [that it is good for me]. We can say it is a blessing in disguise", the defender added.
