Leonardo Pavoletti, who was chased by Leeds United, is now interesting Premier League big wigs Arsenal and Liverpool.

Leeds worked hard on a deal to sign the striker in the 2014 summer transfer window and then were linked with rekindling their interest in the 2015 winter transfer window.




However, the striker could not be convinced to leave his homeland and completed a move to Genoa in the 2015 winter window, where he has continued to ply his trade.

The 27-year-old has been turning on the style in Serie A, showing a nose for goal and even being called up to the senior Italy squad as a result.
 


His progress has not gone unnoticed outside Italy, with Arsenal and Liverpool both sending scouts to check on the hitman, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

It is unclear whether the Gunners or the Reds are eyeing a potential move in the winter transfer window for Pavoletti, or instead adding him to their list of potential targets for the summer.

So far this season the striker has made five appearances in all competitions for Genoa, hitting the back of the net three times.

Last term Pavoletti battled injury problems to score 15 goals in 26 games.
