Mario Pasalic’s agent has refused to rule out a return to Stamford Bridge in January from AC Milan for the Chelsea loanee.

The Croatian midfielder joined AC Milan on a loan deal in the summer, but is yet to make a single appearance for the Rossoneri this season, leading to speculation about his future in Italy.

There have been suggestions that Chelsea could cut short his loan at AC Milan due to his lack of his opportunities at the San Siro and take him back to England in January.

While Vincenzo Cavaliere, who worked on the loan deal for the player, feels it is typical mischievous transfer speculation, he admits that it is difficult to rule out any possibility in the transfer market.

When asked whether a return to Chelsea is possible for Pasalic in January, he told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato: “In my opinion, it’s one of those jokes from the British tabloids, but in the transfer market anything is possible.”

When pressed further, he said: “Of course, anything is possible.”

Pasalic joined Chelsea in 2014 from Hajduk Split and enjoyed loan spells at Elche and Monaco before moving to Italy in the summer.

He still has a contract until 2018 with Chelsea, but is yet to make an appearance for the Blues thus far.
