West Ham United will have left-back Aaron Cresswell available for their trip to Selhurst Park to play Crystal Palace at the weekend, co-chairman David Gold has confirmed.

The Hammers have been stung by injuries to several players this season and are keen to rush them back to action following a poor start to the campaign which sees the club inside the Premier League drop zone.

And Gold expects Cresswell to be available for boss Slaven Bilic to select against the Eagles, as the Hammers look to get back to winning ways, while striker Andy Carroll should be back a week later.

"Aaron should be available for selection for the Palace game and Andy Carroll the following week", Gold wrote on Twitter.

The West Ham supremo also provided an update on striker Diafra Sakho, with the former Metz man looking at between a further two or three weeks out.

"Diafra is working very hard to regain full fitness and should be available for selection in two or three weeks", Gold said.

West Ham have picked up only four points from their opening seven games in the Premier League this term, scoring just eight goals in the process and conceding a whopping 17.

Bilic's men stopped the rot before the international break by holding Middlesbrough to a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium.
