Former Leeds United head coach Neil Redfearn feels the Whites have looked predictable going forward this season and believes the attacking three behind Chris Wood is lacking in balance.

After a good month of September, Leeds have hit a rough patch over the past week after earning just a point from their last two league games against Derby County and Wigan Athletic respectively.

They failed to score against Derby last Saturday despite creating opportunities and conceded a late equaliser to Wigan to leave two points on the table on Tuesday night.

Leeds have looked more defensively robust since last month and while Wood has regularly found the back of the net this season, the rest of the attack is yet to show such potency.

Redfearn feels Leeds’ forward line has lacked balance this season, barring Wood, and is of the opinion that they need more invention as right now they look very predictable going forward.

The former Leeds boss told Radio Yorkshire: “For me, I just think that three in front of the two that are sat in midfield – [Hadi] Sacko on the right, [Pablo] Hernandez in the middle and [Kemar] Roofe or [Stuart] Dallas – I just don’t think the blend or the balance [is right].

“They don't get up around and beyond Chris Wood.

“I don't think it helps and I think it makes Leeds look a little bit predictable going forward.

“That's what they've got to address.”
