Carlos Bacca has insisted that he made the right decision in snubbing West Ham United in favour of staying at AC Milan in the summer.

The Colombia international, who has scored six goals in eight Serie A appearances in the present campaign, was heavily linked with a move to AC Milan during the summer transfer window.

The Hammers even agreed on a €30m deal with AC Milan for Bacca, but the striker rejected the move to the Olympic Stadium from the San Siro.

And Bacca, who scored 18 goals in 38 league games last season, believes he was absolutely right to veto the move and stay at AC Milan.

“I was quiet in the summer even though I could have gone away to raise money for the club”, he told Italian daily Corriere della Sera.

He also has 33 caps and 13 goals for Colombia to his name.
