Mauricio Pochettino has urged Tottenham Hotspur to keep their mentality of never giving up, ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Spurs, whose last league outing resulted in a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion last Saturday, conceded an 82nd minute goal at the Hawthorns as Nacer Chadli’s goal looked set to put an end to the north London outfit’s unbeaten record in the Premier League this season.

However, Dele Alli equalised for the visitors in the 89th minute as Tottenham remained within touching distance of the league leaders Manchester City.

And Pochettino wants his side to maintain their never-say-die attitude as he thinks it will enable Spurs to “achieve big things”.

“We need to keep this belief, we need to keep this mentality, it’s fantastic”, he explained to Spurs TV, when asked about the mentality of his team after conceding against West Brom.

“The season is long and we’re involved in many competitions, and to keep this belief and this mentality is difficult, I know, but we must keep it because only with this mentality we can achieve big things.”

Tottenham, who played out a goalless draw with Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday, are currently third in the Premier League table with 18 points from eight games, just one adrift of first-placed Manchester City.
