Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that his focus is on making sure that his side bring their A-game to the table against Rangers on Sunday.

More than a month after their 5-1 thrashing win over Rangers at Parkhead, Celtic are again preparing to face Mark Warburton’s men on Sunday, but this time for a place in the Scottish League Cup final.

Celtic were more than convincing in their performance last month at Parkhead, but Rodgers stressed that they are not taking anything lightly and is preparing for a grueling cup semi-final at Hampden Park.

The Celtic boss feels Rangers have enough good players to hurt his side, but admits that his side’s focus is on bringing their best to the forefront when they face their Glasgow rivals on Sunday.

Rodgers said in a press conference: "We'll be prepared for a tough game.

“We anticipated that last time, but our performance level was very high in attack and defence.

"They have some talented players and we respect that, but our focus is on ourselves and bringing our A-game."

Celtic lost the Scottish Cup semi-final to Rangers on penalties at Hampden Park last season and will be keen to avoid such an upset again this time around.
