Liam Cooper insists he was happy to get a run out for Leeds United against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

The centre-back has lost his spot in the side following a productive partnership being formed between summer signings Kyle Bartley and Pontus Jansson, who have solidified the Whites' backline.

Cooper was brought off the bench by head coach Garry Monk in the closing stages of the game at Wolves, as Leeds protected a 1-0 lead to see out the game and claim all three Championship points.

The defender wrote on Twitter: "Good to get back to winning ways yesterday. We dug in.

"Nice to get a little cameo stint and another clean sheet for the team", Cooper added.

The club's next league game comes on Saturday when Burton Albion visit Elland Road.

Currently the Whites sit tenth in the Championship standings with 20 points from 14 games.
