Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is not willing to talk about his exchange with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and says the 4-0 win over the Red Devils is in the past.

Conte urged the Chelsea crowd on near the end of the drubbing at Stamford Bridge, something Mourinho took exception to. He had a lengthy message to deliver into Conte's ear at the full-time whistle, with claims he suggested the Italian's actions had humiliated him.

Asked about urging the crowd on and Mourinho feeling it was humiliating, Conte was not prepared to go over old ground and he told a press conference: "I think in this moment it's not important to talk again about a game that for me, for my players, for the club is the past.

"United is the past.

"Now it is important to be focused for West Ham", the Italian continued.

"I repeat. I am pleased with the performance of my players against United."

Conte's side have now switch their attention towards Wednesday evening's EFL Cup tie away at rivals West Ham, as they look to progress in the competition.

With no European football on the agenda this term, Conte is keen for his side to go as far as possible in the EFL Cup.

He is however likely to hand several fringe players an opportunity to impress.
